Belper 2nds fielded their first team of the season with many of their players having never played together and despite lots of hard graft never really played as a unit and found themselves getting isolated and playing too often as a group of individuals!

Griffiths kicked 2 penalties and Laven scored a trademark 60 yard mazey running try from his own 22 out-pacing 2 defenders then selling a dummy to open space and side-stepping the full back to score in the corner ( or so he says )

Capitan Laven praised the graft but wasn't happy with the team work. Much to improve on as the season progresses
