Following Belper's narrow loss and massive disappointment last week, poor old Boots with a weakened side faced a team hungry to put points on the board and get back up to the top of the league.

Belper recieved the kick off from the home side and ran into the wind, Dakin collecting well and heading off on another of his famed tenacious runs, knocking defenders out of his way leaving a trail in his wake, getting tackled in the home side's 22 the ball was handled illegally by a Boots hand and Belper kicked for a line out. With the wind affecting the line Omara still managed to feed the ball into Adams who popped down to Naylor and the ball was spun out into the backs only for a pass to go forward when the try was there for the taking.

Belper continued to pressure with Inns and Omara making ground, supported well by England whos pace and good support play caused all sorts of problems. Belper however failed to score for the opening 10 minutes and when the try did come it was a beauty, a complete team effort. England ran a ball into contact and with Skivington and Inns on his shoulder the ball was rucked over and Naylor spun wide to Meakin who sent the ball out into the backs with Booth supplying Emslie with a sublime spin pass 10 yards for Emslie to collect step his opposite no and sprint in to score in the corner, Blount kicked just wide from the angle 5-0

Blount converted both tries giving the visitors a 19-0 lead at half time

Coach Barden's mind games seemed to do the trick after half time having chatted with his opposite no and persuading him Belper were annoyed that they had had to replay this match at all and that the players weren't really up for it, what came of it was a a total team performance in the second half.

Belper attacked from their kick off and turned the ball over with the forwards driving the maul backwards and Inns ripping the ball away from the opposition. Belper scored shortly after following a darting run from Meakin who released Blackwell who popped out to Booth who danced past players to score under the posts. Blount slotted to give Belper a 26-0 lead.

Belper added a futher 2 tries in quick procession with Emslie scoring his 3rd and 4th of the game, he was destroying his opposite number with pace. Belper 9 and 10 Naylor and Meakin were causing all kinds of problems to the home side's defence with Naylor bossing his forwards and Meakin feeding the backs with simple well timed passes that opened the home side up completely. Naylor got onto the score board supporting Dakin on a run into the home side's half then receiving a pop to out-pace all defenders near him.

Booth added another well run in try, Skivington powered over for a try and Emslie added 2 more to take his tally to 6, Tony England's try was the best individual try with 5 players failing to tackle him as he kept bouncing through contact from 40 yards out to sprint in under the posts. Blounts conversion tally hit 4 Booth got 2 cons and Blackwell slotted 3.

The game finished off with Ed Watson scoring a powerhouse try, barging through following a clever cross field kick from Naylor, the Boots winger fumbled and Nicholson pounced on the ball, picked up and darted down the wing stepping back into support 5 meters short the ball was sent back to Meakin who grub kicked through and the ball bounced out hitting a home defender for the line out.
